Pi Villaraza is a transformative figure in the realm of consciousness and energy work, known for his role as the founder of the global Innerdance movement. With a profound understanding of mind-body consciousness, he seamlessly integrates energy journeys with spiritual exploration. His journey as a teacher and guide is characterized by humility and mastery, reflecting a deep commitment to serving planetary consciousness.
In 2003, Pi underwent a life-altering spiritual awakening that spurred the evolution of the Innerdance process. This unique approach has been widely embraced, fostering healing and transformation in communities around the world. A testament to his influence, Pi’s practices continue to inspire practitioners and seekers alike.
Before embarking on this extraordinary path, Pi enjoyed a successful career in Marketing Communications in Manila. However, drawn by an insatiable curiosity and a yearning for deeper understanding, he chose to leave it all behind. Pi’s transformative journey took him across the southern Philippines, where he spent a year wandering without money or contacts. This period culminated in two years of solitary reflection on a deserted beach in Palawan, where he lived as a hermit and thrived primarily on a diet of coconuts. (What led him to become also a breatherian)
During this time, Pi experienced profound inner awakenings, entering deep trance states that facilitated the spontaneous flow of energy throughout his body. These experiences were pivotal, leading to the activation of energy systems that would later become foundational to the Innerdance movement. The methods he developed during these years have garnered attention for their remarkable effectiveness in promoting self-regeneration of both mind and body.
Today, Pi Villaraza’s work is celebrated across various media platforms, including newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and books. His impact is felt worldwide, as he continues to guide individuals on their journeys toward healing and self-discovery. Marcia feels incredibly honored to witness the presence of such a master on this planet, embracing the teachings of Pi as she engages with the evolving Innerdance process.
As a current student of Pi, I deeply respect his genius and teachings. He has shown me what it means to be a true master of energy, consistently choosing to serve planetary consciousness with his incorruptible character. Pi is a humble teacher who has dedicated his life to supporting the wellbeing of our planet. I feel honored to be alive at the same time as him and to witness a master of his caliber among us.

William Nyogen Yeo Roshi, who named me “Chikan” The mirror of wisdom . As a successor of Maezumi Roshi, who introduced Japanese Zen to the United States in 1956, Nyogen Roshi was a guiding light in the realm of Zen. He was one of the last students authorized by Maezumi Roshi to teach, having devoted 27 transformative years to studying under him until his passing in 1995. I had the pleasure of becoming his student at age 27, a decision that shaped my life.
Nyogen Roshi taught me how to enter the realm of solitude without fear, his wisdom and kindness always present in every moment we shared. I will forever cherish these lessons, including the artistry of rituals and the joy found in silent meditation during zazen practice.
His teachings emphasized the significance of consistent practice to awaken the mind and transform everyday life. One of his favorite sayings, “Take care of your practice,” resonates deeply within me and continues to inspire my journey.
With heartfelt respect and gratitude, I celebrate the profound impact he has had on my life and the lives of many others. His dedication to realizing and embodying Zen practice will forever guide me.
